SPUD.ca is hiring Full-time Grocery Packers for our Vancouver, BC head office (1660 E Hastings Street)

 

The shifts we are hiring for are:

  • Sunday-Thursday 4:30 am - 1:00 pm. Note- public transit does not run at this time so must live within walking/biking distance, or drive
  • Monday- Friday 6:30 am- 3:00 pm
  • Sunday- Thursday 11:00 pm- 7:30 am. Note- this is a Graveyard shift, and has a $0.60 premium per hour, in addition to the regular hourly wage.

What you'll do

  • Work as a team to accurately pack customer orders on time, with care and an eye for detail- making their grocery dreams come true!
  • Work in a warehouse environment; we have large walk-in coolers, so being comfortable working in a chilly environment, continuously on a daily basis, is really important.
  • Prepare fruits and vegetables to ensure the freshest and best quality produce is available for our customers.
  • Work with other warehouse team members as one large team to get the day's work done, taking initiative and being willing to assist others as necessary, rolling up your sleeves to get the job done!


Our compensation package consists of

  • $12.25 per hour to start (increases by $2.10 after a year)
  • 20% discount on all of our products on spud.ca
  • Extended Health Care Benefits (for employees working more than 24 hours per week after 90 days) including: massage therapy, acupuncture, naturopath, physiotherapy, psychologist, chiropractor, 80% dental and prescriptions covered, life insurance, travel insurance, discounted eye exam- and more!
  • Two weeks' vacation for one year of employment (4% accrual) 

What you'll need

  • Experience in a warehouse setting and/or within the grocery industry would be terrific!
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably, and be on your feet throughout the day.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a cooler all day
  • Punctuality and productivity - when you don't arrive, your team suffers
  • Ability to make quick quality decisions.
  • Team spirit and willingness to work together.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude! 
  • Interest in joining a fun loving, fast moving company.
