SPUD.ca is looking for a Full-time Produce Receiver for our Vancouver, BC warehouse (1660 E Hastings Street). This shift is Sunday- Thursday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm.

What you'll do

  • Receive inbound produce orders, verifying count, expiration dates and quality
  • Maintain produce quality through returns of sub-standard products, ensuring proper storage & rotation, and continuous team education & focus
  • Conduct daily inventory counts, manage inventory locations, and manage daily waste & spoilage
  • Regular communication with Produce Purchasing department
  • Assist Produce Stockers with keeping the pack line fully stocked
  • Assist Produce Prep team, as required
  • Other duties as assigned


Our compensation package consists of

  • $13.50 per hour (increases by $2.10 after a year of employment). 
  • 20% discount on all of our products on spud.ca

  • Two weeks' vacation for one year of employment (4% accrual) 

What you'll need

  • Experience working with produce is an asset
  • Passion for quality food and the customer experience
  • Able to communicate effectively in spoken & written English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Team-first mentality
  • Desire to actively problem solve and improve processes
  • Comfortable lifting 50lbs throughout shift
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a cargo van
