SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Junior Financial Analyst. This position is based out of our Vancouver head office (1660 E Hastings Street) and will report into the Senior Financial Analyst.

 


What you’ll do

  • Support primary business functions by mining, transforming, and visualizing data from a financial perspective
  • Cost modelling of productive processes and key purchasing decisions
  • Design metrics and key performance indicators specific to various business processes and decisions
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports, in addition to handling ad-hoc requests for information and participating on special projects
  • Tracking of marketing campaign results and returns on investment
  • Monitoring data accuracy and rectifying validation issues
  • You’ll have a tremendous ability to impact the company. There are no corporate blockades to prevent new ideas from being implemented – We want new ideas!

What you'll need

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field
  • Previous experience as an analyst is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Access (lookup functions, PowerPivot, PowerQuery)
  • Prior experience with ERP systems and BI reporting tools
  • Fundamental knowledge of SQL
  • A high degree of critical thinking, analytical, and computation skills
  • The desire to work in an entrepreneurial company that is progressing quickly and paving the way in e-commerce
