    SPUD.ca is looking for permanent, full-time Junior Business Development Rep for our Vancouver, BC head office (1660 E Hastings Street).

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The Junior Business Development Rep is a sales based, metric driven position. 

    • Focus on customer acquisition to increase the number of Office Program customers through cold-calling, phone calls, upselling, events and promotions.
    • Work closely with our Marketing Team to promote Office program notifications, promotions and events.
    • Contribute as part of a team in attaining weekly and quarterly sales goals measured upon new office sign-ups, added revenue and increase in average order size.
    • Work as a team player with all team members and departments (e.g. Warehouse, IT, Marketing, Drivers, Accounting, and Purchasing).
    • ¾ of time spent out of office, ¼ of time spent in office.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Previous sales experience is preferred. Most importantly is a drive to sign-up customers, close sales, and continue to increase our corporate office profits. 
    • A knowledge of health and nutrition, or anything relevant would be an asset! 
    • Have a passion for delicious organic food, supporting local, and sustainable living! 
    • A natural ability to connect with our customers and sell our Office Program through your passion and genuine love for our business!
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment to meet sales targets!
    • A valid Driver's License, and your own vehicle is preferred.
    • Proven ability and comfort level to find leads, and pick-up a phone for cold-calls. This is a sales based position.
    • Not afraid to rock a banana costume in downtown Vancouver....and own it. 
    • Access to a smart phone and personal laptop for out of office/remote functionality
    • Self-driven with the capability to work independently to create new sales avenues
    • Ability to work beyond the 9-5 work week depending on occasional events during weeknights and/or weekends
    • Ability to work with a fun group of people of who love our business and are excited about our growth!

    Compensation

    • $17.50 per hour starting wage

    • Extended health benefits after the 90 day probationary period (80% covered by SPUD)
