    SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Delivery Manager based out of our Calgary, AB location (#3 3200 14th Avenue NE) 

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Manage and lead a team of approximately 15 drivers
    • Ensure the timely and cost effective delivery of 2,000 deliveries per week in Calgary & surrounding communities
    • Ensure the driving team is equipped with the resources to service our customers well
    • Use KPIs and other reports to manage the on time delivery of orders
    • Manage labour and fleet costs to a budget
    • Work with the rest of the operations team to deliver new services to SPUD customers like express, time windows and additional delivery days
    • Collaborate with the customer care team to resolve issues and enhance service
    • Oversee hiring, training and on-boarding of new drivers; including arranging Collision Avoidance training.
    • Take the lead on the Vehicle Care program; utilizing tools like GPS, driver behavior monitoring and check-in-out to ensure safe driving practices and minimize vehicle damage
    • Manage staffing, and schedule and route deliveries
    • Lead by example in going above and beyond for our customers
    • Be the champion of safe driving habits, making sure our fleet experiences minimal damage due to poor training
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Post-Secondary education – Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 3+ years of professional driving experience (extensive experience driving vehicles such as Sprinter, Transit or larger)
    • Experience with routing and delivery software
    • Previous experience managing 15+ employees
    • Proven ability to problem-solve and think creatively to complete assigned tasks
    • Experience hiring, terminating and carrying out disciplinary action according to AB Employment Standards
    • Knowledge of road safety and defensive driving habits
    • Ability to plan and execute on operational plans to improve your team’s performance
    • Flexibility – able to adjust to changing environment and new challenges
    • Clean driver’s abstract and display safe driving habits
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail
    • A passion for creating amazing customer experiences worth sharing
    • Ability to plan and organize working time and to multitask as required
    • Ability to effectively delegate and build a cohesive team
    • Ability to manage daily details and deliver on larger projects and initiatives
    • A passion for sustainabilty, healthy organic food, and supporting local

    Compensation

    • An annual salary, paid bi-weekly, based on experience
