    SPUD.ca is looking for permanent, full-time Produce Coordinator for our Victoria, BC location (956 Devonshire Road). This shift is Sunday- Thursday 7:00 am- 3:00 pm. This individual will work alongside our current Produce Coordinator, and transition into the position of Produce Lead in September.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Help receive deliveries, rotate and stock produce, oversee the prep and bagging of produce. This role requires a lot of lifting of boxes up to 50lbs. Support the produce team as needed in order to perform all daily tasks in a timely manner.
    • Take responsibility for keeping the produce cooler organized and easy for the staff to work in. Identify any areas where inefficiencies or errors are likely to occur and address these proactively. 
    • Take responsibility for the quality of the produce on the pack line and do routine quality checks as needed.
    • Identify produce items needing extra prep or cleaning and work with the warehouse team to accomplish these tasks on an as needed basis.
    • Communicate with the produce purchaser and the warehouse team about any produce related issues.
    • Monitor physical inventory and make adjustments using the company’s computerized inventory management software.
    • You’ll have a keen eye for detail and know good looking produce when you see it, we don’t want any subpar items getting into our customer boxes, our mantra is “Would you feed your Grandma that?”
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Have PASSION! A passion for life, a passion for food, whatever your passion is, we dig it!
    • Previously worked with food, either in a grocery store, in a restaurant or even if you’re a food nerd, that’d be great!
    • Experience working with produce is preferred. 
    • You will be comfortable working with computers and familiar with MS Office.
    • You will be very detail oriented. 
    • The ability to perform repetitive lifting of boxes up to 50lbs. 
    • The ability to work with a team in a rapidly growing business. 


    • $12.65 per hour starting wage.
