    Food-X is looking for permanent, full-time Inbound Team Leader for our Burnaby, BC warehouse (5566 Trapp Avenue, Unit 105). This is a graveyard position Sunday- Thursday 9:00 pm- 5:30 am. This role will start training at our Vancouver warehouse (1660 E Hastings) prior to moving permanently to Burnaby in July. 

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The Inbound Team Leader is a front-line warrior!  They ensure that all of our Inbound Associates have the training, tools, conviction and support to provide a world-class experience to our customers.  They love to be in the thick of it and relish the opportunity to tackle new challenges each day.  The Inbound Team Leader is also responsible for the smooth operation of the warehouse, in the absence of supervisors or managers.  As the sole leadership team member on shift during the graveyard, they’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth execution of all graveyard shift activities.

    • Lead the daily inbound activities, from the front line.
    • Training and day-to-day performance coaching of Inbound Associates.
    • Lead daily huddles and sync meetings.
    • Monitor and report on Inbound KPIs.
    • Assume responsibility for collective warehouse team, in the absence of supervisors and managers. In particular, on the graveyard shift.
    • Engage and develop the team through coaching, support and regular feedback. 
    • Lead with positivity and empathy, while ensuring that team members respect their peers and the requirements of their positions.
    • Help develop new procedures and improvements to current procedures.
    • Seek out and engage in opportunities to further personal leadership development.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Tendency to stack and sort your unwrapped birthday gifts according to size and function.
    • Affinity for cats, bats, owls, vampires and other nocturnal creatures.
    • Experience working in inventory control & management.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Desire to actively problem solve and think creatively to improve processes and complete tasks on a daily basis.
    • Ability to stand on your feet for entire shifts- bending, leaning crouching, and walking.
    • Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs, as needed. 
    • Ability to work for extended periods of time, and entire shifts, in our walk-in refrigerated coolers or freezers.
    • Experience working in a team environment.
    • History of working with food, either in a service, retail, or production role, and strong understanding of food safety and quality control processes.

    Compensation

    • Annual salary based on experience
