    SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Routing Coordinator based out of our Vancouver head office (1660 E Hastings Street). This position is Saturday- Tuesday 11:00 am- 9:00 pm (4 days x 10 hours)

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Workwave routing for assigned sites, routes and days.
    • Act as a lead for a team of approximately 50 Delivery Drivers, coordinating and reviewing their work.
    • Plan, organize, adjust and oversee delivery routes and schedules, and resolve work-related issues as they arise, ensuring they are prepared to execute their deliveries efficiently. 
    • Assist in onboarding and training new drivers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, including resolving issues with smart phones and vehicles.
    • Daily supervision of fleet, driver performance and customer experience. Utilizing X-Dispatcher and Positrace to track driver performance on deliveries and delegate any adjustments to daily deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Supervise the delivery operation and perform necessary action to improve the operation.
    • Ensure transfers to Be Fresh, OA and other SPUD sites are completed as per scheduled times.
    • Ensure required pickups and re-deliveries are time managed and executed.
    • Utilize SPUD CSR and possibly SPUD Front-End to perform adjustments and updates to customers’ accounts, delivery routes, delivery schedules and reports.
    • Effectively communicate with Customer Care and all other depts. in mitigating potential negative customer experiences by taking a pro-active approach.
    • Ensure efficient management of paper records, including Driver Checklists and Route Sheets. 
    • Be the champion of sale driving habits, making sure our fleet experiences minimal damage due to poor training. 
    • Take the lead on the Vehicle Care program utilizing tools like GPS, Driver behavior monitoring and check-in-out to ensure safe driving practices and minimize vehicle damage.
    • Follow the Delivery Mgr.’s plans and assist on the execution of operational plans to improve the delivery team’s performance.
    • Work with Business Development to create best possible Office customer experiences. 
    • Occasionally cover delivery routes when drivers call in.
    • Work with the rest of the SPUD teams to deliver new services to customers like express, time windows, and additional delivery days and future area expansions. 
    • Order and manage departmental technological resources. 
    • Oversee the operations of the fleet and arrange for maintenance and/or repair work with the Facilities & Fleet Manager
    • Perform road tests when necessary.
    • Additional duties as required.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Class 5 Driver’s License, and a clean driving record for the last five years
    • Knowledge of the Lower Mainland and its regions
    • Ability to commit to being an essential part of the team. 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to be flexible, adjust to changing schedules, environments, and new challenges.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to display future planning and daily organization of working time, multitasking as required.
    • Ability to effectively delegate when require, displaying a positive example in building a cohesive team.

    Compensation

    • $17.00 per hour starting wage
