    SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Fundraising Coordinator based out of our Vancouver, BC head office (1660 E Hastings Street). 

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Coordinate SPUD Fundraising operations in BC with SPUD’s network of fundraising partners, in collaboration with Alberta’s SPUD Fundraising team.

    • Administer a community fundraising program
    • Communicate with fundraising leaders and their supporters to ensure an excellent fundraising experience
    • Advocate for the program and the community groups it serves within SPUD
    • Promote the program to groups in the community
    • Work with fundraising leaders to promote the program to their supporters
    • Create social media content for promoting the program, and other design assets such as posters and handouts
    • Recommend and work toward ambitious goals, both qualitative and quantitative, for program growth, and create metrics for new initiatives
    • Calculate & report sales and donations
    • Report to the Business Development Team
    • Share ideas and lessons learned with, and seek input from, fundraising program coordinators in other SPUD locations
    • Innovate constantly to improve the fundraising program and its promotion
    • Promote and administer the new Be Fresh Smart Lunches program for local schools
    • Attend meetings and events that may be outside the SPUD office, or outside the typical workday
    • Support your team at SPUD by participating in events and other Business Development team projects
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Experience in customer service, sales, community fundraising and/or marketing an asset
    • Passion for healthy & sustainable food
    • Must be creative, open-minded, positive, and ready for a challenge!
    • Must enjoy and be comfortable working with community organizations, educators, and youth
    • Be a "people person," able to build and maintain good relationships with community partners and coworkers
    • Ability to take initiative and work independently, have leadership skills, and team spirit -- all rolled into one!
    • Must have at least an N driver's license and candidates with access to a vehicle are preferred
    • Ready to learn quickly, take ownership of the program, and set your own tasks to reach the program's goals
    • Excited by goal-setting and metric-driven work
    • Basic knowledge of social media and an eye for design
    • Experience working with spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets an asset
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Gmail (or ability to learn new email systems quickly/easily)
    • Proven ability to creatively problem solve
    • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills (French is a bonus!)
    • Most important is an excitement about taking on the role, making it your own, and growing the program, whatever it takes!


    • $36,000 (~ $17.30 per hour) starting salary
