    SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Junior QA Analyst, Web Development for our Vancouver, BC head office.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Maintain and extend a program of automated testing.
      • Includes the coordination of testing with the development team as part of continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes.
      • Includes upgrading and extending the underlying automation framework to work with new systems and use cases as they are introduced.
    • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to compose a set of test cases that provide sufficient coverage of requirements and intelligently test possible side effects from the implemented changes.
    • conduct manual test cases accurately with best practice documentation.
    • triage defects and bugs found for accuracy and quality, then manage the lifecycle of these to resolution.
    • coordinate testing activities across several resources - developers, QA team, and business team members. Ensure quality assurance practices are well understood by all members.
    • ensure a clear repository for testable requirements, test case documentation, test sets, test runs, test run results.
    • understand key concepts of performance testing in its various forms - load testing for response time and throughput, scalability, endurance, graceful degradation under stress or failures.
    • manage a team of QA professionals in all the activities listed above, as well as third party resources for bursts of test execution activity.
    • work with developers to ensure system testability requirements are designed into the product, and unit tests are created and maintained.
    • Document testing and web enhancements
    • Using Inspect Browser tools
    • Basic HTML/CSS updating through Live Admin functions
    • Work with the Marketing team on assigned tasks 
    • Basic jQuery for testing through the database
    • Work with Front End and CSR software 
    • Additional duties as assigned. 

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Proficient with HTML/CSS 
    • Familiarity with the functional domains of order management, supply chain management, MRP, procurement, warehouse management, inventory management, fulfillment planning, and transportation management 
    • Familiarity with the business domains of retail, grocery/produce, eCommerce, B2C distribution, and third party logistics
    • Demonstrated experience with software development and its lifestyle (SDLC) for versioning and release management in a lean/agile environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work within and with other teams.
