    SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Social Media Manager based out of our Vancouver, BC head office (1660 E Hastings Street). Note- this position will be moving in the next 1-2 months to our new head office located at 5566 Trapp Avenue, Burnaby.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The Social Media Manager will play an integral role in the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy for SPUD.ca, Blush Lane Organic Market, and Be Fresh Market. This person will be the champion of customer engagement, which will ultimately elevate our brand. We want to share the fun with our customers!

    • Develop and execute an organic social media strategy and plan for SPUD.ca, Blush Lane Organic Market, and Be Fresh Market.
    • Develop and execute high quality and engaging content for social platforms that lead industry best practices.
    • Manage the social content calendars.
    • Create and implement a strategy for influencer marketing and user generated content.
    • Identify opportunities to engage with consumers and oversee community management.
    • Monitor latest trends in order to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on technologies to test.
    • Work closely with the Acquisition Specialist on paid social marketing.
    • This position will report to the VP of Marketing.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • 2+ years of experience in a social marketing role
    • A love of food and healthy eating
    • A degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent
    • Previous experience writing for websites, blogs or magazines
    • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
    • Creativity!
    • Experience with Google Analytics, WordPress, Mail Chimp, and Hootsuite is an asset

    Compensation

    • A annual starting salary based on experience.
    • 20 % discount on SPUD.ca and Be Fresh purchases.
    • Extended health care benefits (effective the first of the month after 90 days)
