SPUD.CA is looking for a full-time, permanent Software Developer based out of our South Burnaby, BC head office (#105 5566 Trapp Avenue). This position reports to the Director of IT. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The Software Developer develops, design and implements new or modified software products or ongoing business projects. They also import legacy forms and reports into the current system. 

 

  • Write well-documented, high performance and maintainable code
  • Design, develop, and implement new features for the existing .NET core applications
  • Identify bugs and technical issues and provide solutions to address those issues
  • Manage the optimization of existing code and provide recommendations to improve performance
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Min 3-5 years working in Agile/DevOps environment.
  • Expert in vb.net, C#, Crystal Report, .Net, .Net Core, WCF, VSTS, Git, Azure, Rest APIs, MSSQL, MySQL
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Experience from Design through Implementation of solutions / leading Architectural designs to Test strategy planning
  • Practical experience with software engineering best practices, and building enterprise level solutions
  • Preferred: Experience with Adobe Coldfusion, Azure service bus and LogicApps, experience supporting and building integration layers for custom applications and with Dynamics365

Compensation

  • An annual salary based on experience, paid bi-weekly.
